Steam now has over 65 million registered users

PC digital game network Steam has released another set of impressive numbers.

The Valve-owned service now has over 65m registered users – that’s a jump of 30 per cent year-on-year for the last 12 months. This is the tenth year it has been in operation.

Steam now has a games library numbering over 3,000 titles.

"The main goal of Steam has always been to increase the quality of the user’s experience by reducing the distance between content creators and their audience," Valve co-founder and president Gabe Newell stated.

"As the platform grows, our job is to adapt to the changing needs of both the development and user communities. In the coming year, we plan to make perhaps our most significant collaborations with both communities through the Steam Dev Days and the Steam Machines beta."
