Strong March for EA in UK

It was EA that dominated the charts this month with some 12 games in the Top 50.

Crysis 2 in third place was the publisher’s biggest seller, but sneaking under the radar to make the Top Five was Fight Night Champion, the game was the second biggest seller on PS3 last month.

Overall, EA performed best on PC, PS3 and 360, with five games in each of the individual format’s Top Ten. The publisher still has some work to do on Nintendo platforms, though. The firm has just one game in the 3DS charts (The Sims 3 at No.10) and not a single game in the Wii or DS Top Ten.

The actual biggest seller of March makes a refreshing change by being a new IP. Homefront leads three new THQ games in the Top 50, with uDraw Studio and WWE All Stars also charting.

There are five 3DS games in the Top 40 but it was the other Nintendo handheld that made the biggest impact on the March charts. The platform holder’s Pokmon duo White and Black made No.2 and No.4 respectively.
