Bastion developer Supergiant has announced its upcoming effort Transistor will launch of PlayStation 4 and Windows PC platforms on May 20th.
The studio announced the news on Transistor’s blog, adding that the title will be sold via PSN and Steam for $19.99. The PC version will also be offered direct from Supergiant.
"We’ve been putting the finishing touches on it and think it’s just about ready," writer and designer Greg Kasavin stated.
The team is planning a worldwide launch, with the game offering voice-overs in English and text in Brazilian, English, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish.
Mac and Linux versions of Transistor are supposedly in the works as well for subsequent dates, though neither were mentioned. The studio has also mentioned in the past that it would likely consider other platforms following the game’s initial launch.
Supergiant’s previous release, the award-winning action RPG Bastion, is currently available on several platforms – including Windows, Mac, Linux, Xbox 360 (via XBLA), iOS and as a browser offering through the Google Chrome Web Store.
