Team Liquid signs partnership with Monster Energy

Monster Energy has formally sponsored Team Liquid despite the two organisations working together for some time.

The new deal sees the two organisations work together on content, and has resulted in Monster branding popping up all over Liquid’s assets. More specific details on exactly what the partnership will include we be announced in the coming weeks.

“Even though we’re only formalizing this partnership now, we’ve been working with Monster for some time,” said Victor Goossens, Founder and Co-Owner of Team Liquid. “They just understand gaming culture perfectly, and to borrow their own words, they do a lot of “cool s***”. This is such a natural partnership because Monster is always looking for new ways to make an impact on people, and they sponsor the most prominent gaming events and organizations in esports. With Monster on board, we’ll be able to do even more awesome things, and we can’t wait to show you what we have in store for the future.”

“This isn’t about us at Monster Energy, it is about the cool s*** that Team Liquid is doing in esports,” said Matt Simpson, Senior Marketing Manager for Monster Energy Gaming and eSports. “They are an amazing organization and we just want to be a part of it. I mean, if Ice-T and Magic Johnson are talking about an esports team, you have to pay attention!”

To celebrate the partnership Liquid created a highlight montage, which doesn’t really say much but is certainly entertaining and shows off how dominant Liquid have been in the world of eSports over the past few years. You can see the video below.
