Team Ninja warns of Dead or Alive 5: Last Round bugs as launch stumbles

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round buyers are being warned of a save data corrupting bug.

Developer Team Ninja has told users not to play tutorial levels 40.8 and 40.9 as doing so will freeze the game and, worse still, corrupt save data.

The bug applies to the German, Spanish, French, and Italian versions of the game on all platforms (PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360). A fix is in the works.

This is far from the only problem suffered by Koei Tecmo’s fighter, however.

Eurogamer reports that the full-price version of the game has failed to appear on PSN. Players could in theory download the free-to-play version of the game, dubbed Core Fighters, and purchase all the missing components but at three times the cost of the normal game.

The Xbox One version, meanwhile, has been plagued by crashes and does not support Mad Catz’s TE2 fightstick, with the peripheral make saying that it is working with the developers to help them formulate a fix.

Dead or Alive 5: Last Round was released in the UK last week and entered the UK charts in 27th. The PC version is yet to be released.
