Telltale details its take on the Batman franchise

Batman: The Telltale Series will be out in just a couple of weeks.

Telltale has given the game a digital release date of August 2nd on PC, PSN, Xbox Live, iOS and Google Play. The retail release will then follow on September 16th in Europe, following its September 13th release in the US.

The developer has also released a video giving us our best look yet at its take on the Caped Crusader.

The game was announced back in December.

At Telltale, we’ve been honoured to bring our unique approach to interactive storytelling to some of the biggest entertainment franchises in the world, and we’re excited to announce that we’ll soon be exploring what it means to be Batman in an all-new series starting next year,” Telltale co-founder and CEO Kevin Bruner said at the time.

This iteration of Batman will give fans a first-hand opportunity to dive deeper into the complex life and mind of Bruce Wayne, the duality of his own identity, and the struggle of responsibility in saving a city overcome with corruption and villainy.”

Bruce Wayne will be played by game actor favourite Troy Baker, Travis Willingham takes on the role of Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette will play Vicki Vale, while everyone’s favourite butler Alfred will be acted by Enn Reitel. Elsewhere, Murphy Guyer has been cast as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle is Carmine Falcone, and Laura Bailey gets the catwoman gig.
