Thatgamecompany co-founder Kellee Santiago has joined Android console firm Ouya as its head of developer relations.
Santiago, who left the Journey studio in March last year, tweeted that she is "looking forward to continuing my work in tilting the industry scales towards indie developers and more variety in game content." The industry vet confirmed that she will still be "making stuff" while at her new job.
"We're calling her OUYA's DBF (Developer's Best Friend)," Ouya founder and CEO Julie Uhrman stated in the company's official announcement.
Santiago is well known for supporting indies outside of her own studio, and is one of the founders of the financial support group Indie Fund.
Along with the new appointment, the firm also announced that the first iteration of the console will start shipping to Kickstarter backers on March 28th.
Ouya is set for a full retail launch in June.
