The GAME Marketplace has officially launched

Having soft launched it last month, GAME has now officially launched its new Marketplace initiative online.

Marketplace allows third parties to sell assorted wares including games, merchandise, books, graphic novels, clothing and phones. GAME itself has collected some of the items into branded stores including Disney, Star Wars and Marvel.

For the user it all works in a similar fashion to Amazon, with the store’s own price listed alongside the prices for both new and pre-owned items from other sellers.

In total GAME says the Marketplace offers in excess of 50,000 products.

Partner retailers include Games Centre, Games Connection and The Game Collection, while publishers such as Excalibur are also on board, along with peripherals maker Venom.

Everyone at GAME is incredibly excited about our ambitions for GAME Marketplace,” GAME’s Charlotte Knight said. In the past we’ve seen a phenomenal response to the limited edition products and accessories that we have stocked and know there is huge demand for gaming accessories and memorabilia.

As the leading specialist games retailer, we have developed GAME Marketplace to allow us to open up this vast new world of merchandise to our customers, offering the greatest choice to our communities, whilst also allowing them to accrue reward points they can redeem against future purchases.”
