Richard Keith’s start-up media firm The Games Tribe has announced a series of new genre-specific websites.
A number of Nintendo fans will head up www.3dstribe.com, while online journalist Adrian Vergara will look after www.fpstribe.com and games journalist Dean Samways will take care of www.kapowgames.com.
These sites will cover news on the Nintendo 3DS, FPS games and comic book-style titles respectively. They will pull news from other sites and produce their own original content.
The three new blogs go live following the launch of RPG-focused The Games Tribe sites www.raidingparty.net and www.jrpgtribe.com last week.
The Games Tribe’s Rich Keith said: These new sites will enable us to extend our influence into these key gaming areas, with each of them reaching out to all the specialist blogs, fansites and communities that cover these niches.”
The firm was set up by Keith in September after he left Future Publishing. He has previously told MCV that ‘the era of big sites is coming to an end’.
