The Guardian partners with London Games Festival

The Guardian has joined forces with London Games Festival to run its own series of events.

The broadsheet will host a session on changes in reader tastes and games journalism, advice for aspiring games writers and tips on how to code the Raspberry Pi.

The Guardian’s award-winning games team will also offer editorial support for all other events as the festival’s first ever media partner.

London Games Festival is a perfect event for us – ambitious, innovative and forward-thinking, attracting exactly the right sort of audience for The Guardian,” said strategic partnerships manager Richard Thompson.

Festival director Kirsty Payne added: We are thrilled that The Guardian will lend its support to this year’s London Games Festival. This is far more than a merging of logos – the events being curated by The Guardian are central to the festival.”
