Toy giant Mattel has renewed its deal with THQ which will see a range of games based on its franchises hit shelves.
THQ has already published games based on these properties such as Barbie: Groom and Glam Pups and Hot Wheels: Track Attack which arrived late last year.
The new deal will allow THQ to develop and publish games based on other brands such as Polly Pocket, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots, He-Man: Masters of the Universe, Fisher-Price and more.
Games will arrive on multiple consoles as well as THQ's upcoming uDraw tablet for Wii. A uDraw title based on Mattel's Pictionary is due for release around the accessory's launch.
Other unannounced games in development will be revealed in the coming months ahead of a Christmas 2011 release window.
We are excited to work hand-in-hand with the world's No.1 toy company to bring a new level of entertainment to its already incredibly popular brands," said THQ's executive VP of kids, family and casual games Martin Good.
GM of Mattel's digital network Chuck Scothon added: Partnering with THQ extends the connection consumers have with our brands to a deeper multi-platform experience with video games for kids and family audiences.”
