Titanfall 2 will ship with PlayStation 4 Pro support on the disk, meaning no update will be required to get it looking amazing on the upcoming console.
Titanfall producer Drew McCoy revealed that support for the upcoming PS4 Pro is included on the disk when talking to fans on Twitter.
This seemingly makes Titanfall 2 the first game to support the PS4 Pro, despite the console not being out yet. However once November 10th rolls around Titanfall players will be able to enjoy it without having to worry about a significant update.
Speaking of significant updates, unlike most games Titanfall 2 will not require one at launch, instead only having a 88mb day one patch. Studio co-founder Vince Zampella revealed the news on Twitter, joking that people may need to clear some space on their hard drives.
A 88mb day one patch is almost unheard of these days, with many titles this gen having day one patches that are multiple gigabytes. Only having to download a tiny patch is a refreshing change, and one that more games would do well to embrace.
