Top 100 Women in Games: Ann Hurley

Hurley joined the games industry in November of 1986 as the telesales manager for distributor Centresoft.

She worked within the Centregold group – including ISM and USGold – for several years before moving north to join Ocean Software as sales director.

Having worked in distribution, publishing (at Gremlin and Infogrammes) and, for the past three years, within the localisation and QA sector, Hurley’s experience now encompasses a broad range of the games sector, making her a vital source of industry knowledge.

Speaking about why the games industry continues to excite her, Hurley said: It’s a fantastic industry full of great people; I love the changeability and unpredictability of it.

"I am excited to be a part of such a vibrant and creative industry, where you can watch ideas become a reality and work with a team that wants to make that happen.”

Among the things Hurley said she considers her greatest achievements are the close connections she holds with those she works with, with both clients and colleagues a source of pride.

I love the sector I am engaged in, so I wish to continue with Testronic and push to be more creative, forward-thinking and create good results for clients and my company,” Hurley says of her future aspirations.

Creating the win-win may sound like a clich, but it really works.”
