Ubisoft enlists Ross Kemp to tell tales of The Division 2’s lawless Dark Zone

Ross Kemp – known best for playing hot-head Grant Mitchell on UK soap Eastenders and reporting from the world’s most extreme locations – has taken on a surprising new role: narrator for The Division 2’s Dark Zone.

In a series of new advertisements shared via Ubisoft’s social media channels, Kemp narrates dramatic stories submitted by The Division 2’s player community. Kemp appears in a decimated Oval Office in keeping with the sequel’s new location – a post-apocalyptic Washington D.C.

"Kemp is bringing to life the combat and dramatic tension of the game’s ‘Dark Zones’, places where nobody is safe from enemies and teammates alike, and where breaking the rules of is actively encouraged," says Ubisoft. "Each story actually took place in the frozen Dark Zone of the first game in the franchise, or in the expanded threat of The Division 2’s Dark Zones as experienced in the recent Private Beta."

"I am thrilled to be involved in the Clancy universe bringing the incredible stories of The Division community to life in a world that, for many, has a real sense of tension and jeopardy," Ross Kemp said.

"We’re thrilled to have Ross on-board to bring his unique delivery style and dramatic narration to the unpredictable Dark Zones of Tom Clancy’s The Division 2," added Adam Merrett, senior PR manager at Ubisoft. "Throughout his career Ross has immersed himself in military conflict, both fictional and factual, so bringing him into the iconic world of Tom Clancy felt like a perfect fit."

Xbox One, PS4, and PC players can access the open beta for Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 from now, Friday March 1st, until Monday March 4th, 2019.
