Ubisoft is showing retail how it’s done by opening its own High Street outlet.
The firm has sublet a store on Dean Street in Soho to support upcoming Kinect game Child of Eden. It will boast two floors, with a ‘chill out area’ and three game trial rooms, as well as a larger demo space on the ground floor with a 100-inch TV screen.
Doors will open on June 1st when members of the press will be invited to get a first look at the building. It will open to the public on Friday, June 3rd until Wednesday, June 22nd.
It’s an ambitious project, but we feel it’s the best way to fully appreciate what the experience has to offer,” Ubisoft’s brand manager Jan Sanghera told MCV.
Child of Eden has to be played to be believed, and the installation gives everyone the chance to get hands-on with this uniquely immersive Kinect game experience.”
Child of Eden launches on Kinect on June 17th. A PS3 version of the game that uses Move is scheduled for a September release.
