UK CHARTS: Six in a row for Wii Fit

Looking ahead at the upcoming release schedule it’s becoming hard to guess exactly what is going to usurp Nintendo’s Wii Fit from the top of the ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack All Formats Top 40, with the title now enjoying its sixth successive week at the top.

It’s the 15th time Wii Fit has topped the UK listings – if it can manage another three victories it will topple Eidos’ Who Wants To Be A Millionaire as the most successful chart topper ever.

There’s no change, either, in the next three games with Activision Blizzard’s X-Men Origins: Wolverine, EA’s FIFA 09 and Nintendo’s Wii Play holding firm.

Sega’s Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games re-enters the Top Ten after a brief holiday, claiming ninth spot. Just behind it is the only Top Ten debutant – Nintendo’s Rhythm Paradise.

The only other new entry this week is Disney Interactive’s Hannah Montana: The Movie in 18th, whilst the lower reaches of the listings see Eidos’ Tomb Raider: Underworld and EA’s Burnout Paradise re-enter in 38th and 40th respectively.

The complete ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack All Formats Top 10 in full (for the week ending May 9th):
1. Wii Fit (Nintendo)
2. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Activision Blizzard)
3. FIFA 09 (EA)
