Valve attending E3, no product reveals planned

Valve has confirmed that while they’ll be attending this year’s E3, nothing new from the company will be unveiled.

"We have no product announcements planned for this year’s show," Valve rep Doug Lombardi told Joystiq.

Lombardi’s statement seemingly confirms an earlier report via ValveTime.net. In the report, a forum member shares an email exchange with Gabe Newell regarding what would and wouldn’t be on display at E3.

We are not announcing anything at E3. Really,” Newell reportedly explained. We are not announcing Half-Life 3 or Portal 3 or Left 4 Dead 3. We are going to be showing stuff everyone already knows about (CS:Go [Counterstrike: Global Offensive], Dota 2, 10′ UI [Steam ‘Big Picture Mode’]).”

E3 2012 takes place June 5th-7th in Los Angeles, CA.
