VIDEO: ’80s game icon Dizzy is returning

Cult ‘80s retro gaming IP Dizzy is on the verge of a return to gaming.

Codemasters’ communications director Rich Eddy has been dropping a number of hints on Twitter this morning, including:

In days of old, when games were sold, not on console but on tape, there was a Prince, not seen since, who wore boxing gloves – not a cape.”

There’s a even a new website and a teaser video, which can be seen below. COdemasters has suggested that further details will be announced tomorrow.

The Dizzy series was first conceived by UK developers the Oliver twins with the debut entry in the series arriving on Commodore 64, Amstrad and Spectrum in 1986.
