VIDEO: Release date for Super Mario Land 3D and Mario Kart 7

Two of the 3DS’ key upcoming titles have finally been given concrete release dates, though Kid Icarus has been delayed until 2012.

Super Mario 3D Land will be released in Europe on November 18th. It’s Mario’s first 3D platforming adventure, though details about the title still remain fairly thin on the ground.

Also with a release date is Mario Kart 7. That will arrive on December 2nd. For the first time in the series the game will also offer a first person, gyroscope controlled driving mode.

In addition, Nintendo has confirmed a September 30th release date for a Metallic Red version of the 3DS console in response the system reaching the 1m European sales landmark.

Along with the freshly announced Mario Tennis, Animal Crossing 3DS, Luigi’s Mansion and Paper Mario have all been scheduled for 2012.

Joining them is former launch title Kid Icarus, which suffers a further delay.
