Ubisoft has announced that a free trial for Watch Dogs 2 is now available to download for PS4 owners, with an Xbox One version coming on January 24th.
During the free trial, players will have three hours to explore the world of San Francisco and its Dedsec hackers, and they'll also be able to sample a swathe of the game's multiplayer features provided they're signed up to PlayStation Plus or Xbox Live Gold.
Hacking Invasion, Bounty Hunter and two-player co-op will be available, plus the usual story missions and sidequests. Players will be able to buy Watch Dogs 2 at any point during the trial, and all game progress will be saved and carried over the full game on purchase.
January 24th also marks the day when Xbox One and PC players will finally be able get their hands on the first add-on content pack for Watch Dogs 2, the T-Bone Content Bundle. Included as part of the Watch Dogs 2 Season Pass, this T-Bone themed content pack originally launched on PS4 back in December. It adds a new clothing set, a new vehicle and a new Mayhem difficulty setting for two-player co-op missions.
The T-Bone Content Bundle is the first of three big DLC updates, with Human Conditions and No Compromise to follow later in the year. Human Conditions will add three new story missions to the game, as well as new elite co-op missions and a new anti-hacker enemy, while No Compromise brings one new story mission to the table alongside a new survival of the fittest co-op mode.
