Tony Williams is to leave Codemasters having stepped down from his post as chief operating officer, MCV can reveal.
The games industry veteran oversaw the Britsoft giant’s global operation and its plans for Europe and North America.
He joined Codemasters in 2005 with over 20 prior years of experience, having held senior positions at Acclaim and Take 2, where he oversaw the acquisition of BMG and the Grand Theft Auto IP. He was also MD and vice chairman of Bam.
Williams is now working on special projects for Codemasters "as part of a phased exit," a spokesperson confirmed to MCV.
