With prices raised, Origin resumes preorders in India; Titanfall at Rs 3,499

After stopping preorders on the Indian store for over a year, Origin has once again started offering preorders for upcoming PC games.

The service stopped the preorder facility on the Indian store after users outside India used VPNs to access the store and take advantage of lower Indian prices for the Battlefield 3 Premium subscription.

With EA now raising prices in India up to international levels, the threat of non-Indians attempting to buy from the Indian store is removed, thus paving the way for EA to resume offering preorders on the Indian store.

Aside from FIFA 14 being available at Rs 2,499, Origin is also offering the game’s Ultimate Edition, which includes 24 Ultimate Team gold packs and an EA Sports Football Club content pack, at Rs 2,999. For PC, the Ultimate Edition is only available via Origin.

For Battlefield 4 too, Origin offers two different editions. The Standard Edition is priced at Rs 3,499, the same as retail. In addition to the game, preorders also include the China Rising Expansion Pack, one gold Battlepack, and a ground vehicle shortcut for Battlefield 3.

Preorders of the the Digital Deluxe Edition, which is available for Rs 3,999, include the game, plus the China Rising Expansion Pack, three gold Battlepacks, beta access, and a vehicle shortcut bundle for Battlefield 3.

The preorder bonus for the Need for Speed: Rivals Standard Edition (Rs 3,499) is the Ultimate Cop Pack, which includes the Nissan GT-R Black Edition cop car. The Digital Deluxe Edition also offers the Ultimate Cop Pack for preorders, but also gives players Burnout Paradise: The Ultimate Box as a bonus.

Origin is also accepting preorders for Respawn Entertainments’s Titanfall. Like Battlefield 4 and NFS Rivals, it is priced at Rs 3,499, but no preorder bonuses have been mentioned.
