Wuppo heading to PS4 and Xbox One this summer

Soedesco has announced it’s bringing 2D action adventure Wuppo to consoles later this year. The title was originally released on PC last September, but it will now arrive digitaly on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this summer.

Developed by Knuist & Perzik, an independent studio based in the Netherlands, Wuppo was well-received on PC, and currently has a Metacritic score of 80.

In describing the game, co-writer, composer and sound designer Thomas de Waard said: "It’s a 2D Narrative Action Adventure Platformer with RPG elements that contains a lot of humour, doodly art and will put a smile on your face. Have you ever seen a game that combined all that? Yes you have. Once. It’s called Wuppo."

Soedesco’s Hans van Brakel added: "Wuppo is a rare gem, and it was received very positively on Steam. Our strategy is to bring great games to as many platforms (and as many audiences) as possible. With Wuppo’s great reception, we just had to release it on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 as well!"

Soedesco’s also releasing its own in-house title AereA this summer, which is getting a boxed and digital release on PS4, Xbox One and PC on June 30th.
