Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare supports free next-gen upgrades

Activision doesn’t want you to hold back on buying the next Call of Duty should you be hoping for a next-gen console this Christmas.

Buyers of either the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions of the game will be able to upgrade to the next-gen SKUs for free.

On PlayStation, the game support Cross Buy meaning that buying the digital version on either PS4 or PS3 allows users to download both versions from PSN. All digital content purchased – including DLC and Season Passes – will also be Cross Buy.

Activision says that the offer is similar on Xbox, where buying one version will acquire a licence for both.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare will launch on November 4th.
