Develop is giving Newcastle-based indies the chance to join forces and attempt to bring down the larger, longer-running studios in the local area?
But this isn’t some form of hostile takeover or anything quite so aggressive – it’s the Develop Quiz, a friendly battle of wits between developers of all sizes.
The first ever Newcastle edition of the quiz will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd – just two weeks away – at The Charles Grey in Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Studios already signed up include Ubisoft Reflections, Eutechnyx and Epic Games UK, but there’s plenty of room for nearby indies to form teams of five to take on these larger devs. In fact, an Indie All-Stars team actually won the London Develop Quiz last year.
The Develop Quiz offers studios a night of devious brain-teasers, free booze and pub grub, plus the chance to win some fantastic prizes and a highly-coveted trophy. A tad more inviting than other networking opportunities, right?
