Channel 4 is to start a new round of educational games funding to developers across the UK, it has revealed.
Recently appointed games commissioner Colin Macdonald is to detail the type of games the media company is looking to invest in at its Online Spring Briefing 2012, and has invited developers from across the country to pitch their ideas for new projects.
“I have worked with some of the finest games talent in the UK over the past two decades and am looking forward to meeting lots of new people, and seeing where we can take the UK games industry together,” said Macdonald.
The former Realtime Worlds studio manager will also host a business networking workshop, ‘Come Game With Me’, that aims to bring together more than a hundred TV and games industry professionals to explore future collaboration opportunities and share experiences.
The Sping Briefing will take place in Glasgow next week on March 21st.
