Buildbox, the creation platform aimed at programming amateurs, has launched its next major iteration, with a number of big changes.
Buildbox 2.0 is a complete redesign of the code-free software, which favours a drag-and-drop interface for its editor.
Said to boast more than 137 new features, the new release includes support for ‘stage clear’ titles, as well as those built around multiple worlds.
Elsewhere, new logic pieces, effects and environmental controls have been added.
A new particle effect creator has also been introduced, providing a way for devs to add and edit visual effects such as fire and explosions.
Users can make use of a new keyframe animator to animate menus and create in-game cutscenes.
