Competitive SMITE returns for 2017 with new $120,000 LAN event

SMITE is back for another year of action packed eSports action with both PC and console competitions making a return.

Right now the open bracket for the SMITE Pro League is taking place, with the top teams battling it out for a spot in the SMITE Pro League Spring Split. The final matches of the PC competition will take place on Feb 11th and 12th, with these deciding the final teams to compete in the Pro League.

The Pro League Spring Split will then kick off on February 18th for the PC competition, with the console season starting on February 27th.

After the Spring Split the top teams will compete at the SMITE Masters LAN, a $120,000 competition that will take place at the studio’s eSports arena in Atlanta. Teams from around the world will be invited to compete in the competition.

While not as big as the likes of League of Legends or Dota, SMITE remains one of the most popular MOBAs out there and its competitive scene continues to give a away a lot of money.
