Breakthrough indie game an 'Xbox console exclusive', Microsoft says

Minecraft coming to Xbox via Kinect

Minecraft, Markus Persson’s blockbuster indie title, is to be re-released on Xbox 360.

The virtual world-building game will play through Kinect controls, Microsoft said, though the specifics of how this works is unknown for now.

It is not known whether the game will be released digitally or at retail.

Microsoft claimed the project will be a ‘console exclusive’, though the game will be released on mobile phones too.

Swedish indie developerMarkus Persson shot to fame last year with the alpha edition of Minecraft, a game which rapidly became eulogised by opinion-formers and the games press alike.
