Daxter studio considering U-turn on departure from PSP development

Ready At Dawn may return to PSP

In the wake of the news that two out of the top-five selling PSP games sold on Amazon in the US last month were made by Ready At Dawn, the developer is considering a return to creating games for the format.

At the end of 2007, the studio, famous for its work on the popular PSP iterations of the God of War and Daxter franchises, confirmed on more than one occasion that it was to cease creating titles for the handheld, instead focusing on console development.

However, responding to the news that both Daxter and God of War: Chains of Olympus currently hold top-five places in Amazon’s best selling PSP games chart, a statement on Ready At Dawn’s website reads: “Maybe we should reconsider this whole ‘no more PSP games’ thing because we seem to be doing pretty good at it.”

No other information or concrete confirmation is yet available, and no titles have been confirmed.
