Crash Bandicoot holds to No.1 for a fourth consecutive week

In the absence of new releases last week, the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy made it to No.1 again.

It’s the fourth consecutive No.1 for Activision’s title, which has been at the top spot a total of sixth times since launch on June 30th. Crash Bandicoot’s sales only declined one per cent week-on-week. The last title to perform this well was Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, which spent five consecutive weeks at the top of the charts at the end of 2016 and start of 2017. Activision’s FPS is still doing really well and made it to No.17 in the charts this week, with sales increasing 13 per cent.

Meanwhile, Bethesda’s games continued to dominate the Top Five, with Fallout 4 landing No.2, Dishonored 2 charting No.4 and Doom making it to No.5. This is due to continued promotions on the three titles.

Of course, this was not enough to move Grand Theft Auto V out of the Top Five though, as Rockstar’s hit still landed No.3 despite sales declining 29 per cent. Another behemoth left the Top Ten though, as sales for EA’s FIFA 17 were down 18 per cent. The title only managed to get No.12, while Forza Horizon climbed five places to make it to No.9 with a 13 per cent boost in sales.

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe also had a pretty good week, with sales increasing 40 per cent, and landed No.7.

Here’s the Top Ten for the week ending August 12th:

  1. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy (Activision)
  2. Fallout 4 (Bethesda)
  3. Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar)
  4. Dishonored 2 (Bethesda)
  5. Doom (Bethesda)
  6. Splatoon 2 (Nintendo)
  7. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (Nintendo)
  8. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege (Ubisoft)
  9. Forza Horizon 3 (Microsoft)
  10. Battlefield 1 (EA)
