CVG launches W.R.O.N.G. campaign

Barely a day passes by without at least one factually inaccurate or absurd story about video games appearing in the mainstream press. It happens all the time.

And consumer site CVG has had enough.

Today the site launches what it is calling the W.R.O.N.G. campaign – that is Witless and Ridiculous Opinions of Non-Gamers.

"Anyone who opens their mouth on national TV, in the papers or at a major publicly-attended event and chats absolute bull about our hobby, we’re badgering you – and badging you," the site reads.

"We’ll collect up our group of W.R.O.N.G’uns throughout the year, and give you lot a leaderboard to point and giggle at around Christmas time. Imagine it. It’ll be all festive and that."

CVG asks that anyone backing the campaign posts the W.R.O.N.G. logo on their Facebook and Twitter pages and keeps a close ear on the nation’s media, ready to pounce at the first sign of gaming-related foolishness.
