Publisher DC Thomson is sponsoring this year’s Games Media Awards.
The firm joins a strong line-up of organisations sponsoring the event, which celebrates and recognises those working in the games media.

This year’s Games Media Awards will take place on October 15th at the revamped Bloomsbury Ballroom.
The award categories have been overhauled, as has the judging and entry process. Over 250 people are expected to attend, with over 150 of them from national press, specialist outlets and further afield.
Last Monday the finalistsfor the ten award categories were revealed – eight of which have been voted for by panels of games journalists and their peers in the games business, accompanied by two special awards which will be voted for by consumers and event attendees respectively.
There are over 60 different writers, media outlets (including podcast brands and video channels) vying for prizes.
Comedian Holly Walshhas been confirmed as host for the event.
