Destiny’s first DLC will cost £19.99, is out in December

The first expansion for Destiny, The Dark Below, has been priced and dated.

The content will arrive on December 9th and will cost a not unsubstantial 19.99, although those who have already paid out for the 34.99 Season Pass will receive both this release and next year’s House of Wolves.

For the money the release includes new story content The Dark Below as well as a bunch of new weapons and gear, three new multiplayer maps, a new Raid (Crota’s End) and a new Strike (The Will of Crota).

The Light Level Cap will also be raised to 32 and five additional Bounty slots will be added.

PlayStation owners will get an additional Strike set in the Black Garden called The Undying Mind.

Destiny was created as a living universe, which has allowed us to improve the experience post launch in real-time,” Bungie president Harold Ryan said. It also gives us insight into the things players are looking for in new content.

We’ve seen from feedback that people want new activities, gear and weapons and of course the immensely popular Raid. The community helps shape our development decisions and that’s really important to us.”
