Deus Ex developer working on Tomb Raider multiplayer

The rumours are true; Tomb Raider will feature multiplayer, but it is not being worked on by Crystal Dynamics.

The multiplayer aspect has been handed over to Eidos Montreal, which developed Deus Ex: Human Revolution and is – last we heard – working on Thief 4.

The confirmation was made by Crystal Dynamics community manager Meagan Marie on the Eidos forums.

[Eidos Montreal] has been working away at the multiplayer while we focused everything on the single-player offering,” the post read.

News of multiplayer in Tomb Raider was first leaked by the game’s listing at UK retailer Game before it was quickly removed.

Tomb Raider is scheduled for release on 5th March for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.
