For any readers who might not know you, tell us a little more about your company and its goals.

We started Amiqus back in 2000, with a mission to take our love of the games industry and combine it with our experience in recruitment to help more people find the right job, at the right time. So armed with bags of enthusiasm we got cracking defining our own unique approach to recruitment.

16 years on and we’re pretty chuffed that we’re in a position to connect great candidates with studios in the gaming industry who share their values and vision.

What differentiates you from similar outfits? What’s unique about you?

We treat each candidate and studio as a very special opportunity to support the industry. We love what we do and we work super hard at it, recruiting internationally for roles right across the games industry at all levels.

Taking time to listen and get to know what our customers want means that we match brilliantly for the benefit of both parties. Our friendly and experienced team know the industry inside out and are always happy to give advice, insight and support to studios from start-ups to PLCs.

What excites you about the games industry and games development today?

The continued evolution of the sector is awe-inspiring, pushing the boundaries of tech bringing new experiences like VR into our homes.

The games industry is so progressive and many jobs didn’t exist even five years ago. In-demand skills are rare so keeping across an ever-changing landscape is a real priority for us. It’s part of the fun, though.

What do you think the line-up of this year’s Develop Awards finalists says about the industry today?

It’s great to see the breadth of finalists across platforms, genres and studio size. This variety reflects the industry as a whole which is what makes the Develop Awards so special.

There are some first-timers as well as veteran nominees and it goes to show the thriving level of innovation and creativity, not to mention cutting-edge technical excellence.

We love being part of honouring the brightest and best talent in this amazing sector.

Do you have a message for the finalists?

Congrats on your nomination. Enjoy your well-deserved pat on the back and have a speech ready; it could well be your year.

Was there anything else you wanted to say about your company or the Develop Awards?

The Develop Awards arespecial to us, although we are proud to have been honoured with Awards before, we never, ever take anything for granted. It makes us so happy when people appreciate the work we do.

Here’s to a fantastic night and to sharing it with everyone there.
