CREATIVE LEAD ARTIST – CLEVER BEANS

Manchester – UK

We are looking for a Creative Lead Artist to help develop the next generation of console games. If you have a strong desire to create amazing art and make game concepts come to life, we want you to apply!

Taking on the role of “Art Visionary”, you will be responsible for setting the visual style, tone and direction of our next game, and for guiding our small team of artists to help them to realise that vision. This will involve fleshing out characters, environments, props, effects, storyboards, and UI elements, and providing concept images and descriptions to artists.

You must have the ability to sketch quickly (for rapid iteration) as well as to turn rough concepts into polished production pieces – whether your preferred medium is 2d or 3d, traditional or digital. You should be able to work with a range of subjects and styles, and you may also be required to provide detailed briefs for external concept artists, if required.

You will have experience working with, and preferably leading, an art team in a game development environment, and must be self-directed. You will also be skilled with Photoshop or similar, and one or more of Maya, ZBrush or 3ds Max. Bonus skills might include animating and rigging, scripting or video editing.
