Develop Quiz – just a few places left

The perennially popular Develop Quiz is back this month, and there are just a few slots left for teams looking to take part.

The event, taking place on the evening of January 30th, marks the debut of a Develop Quiz in January.

The New Year’s edition of the quiz, sponsored by Microsoft, has been added in 2013 due to the huge popularity of our longstanding annual May and September contests, where developers from across the UK lock intellectual horns to tackle rounds based on games, film, music, sport, and some rather unusual categories not seen in any other quiz.

Remember the infamous ‘Animals in Science’ round? Missed out on the strangeness of our ‘Who’s Behind Seb Coe’ picture round? Had your life changed for good by the ‘Evil Artificial Intelligence’ round? If you answered yes to even one of those questions, then you’ll want to be there for the January Develop Quiz. And if you have no idea what they mean, then there’s even more reason to be there.

The Develop Quiz serves as one of the UK games industry’s most effective networking events, provides your staff with a chance to let their hair down, and serves as an opportunity for some team building.

And, most importantly, it offers your studio a chance to take home the converted Develop Trophy – one of the game industry’s most prestigious gongs. There’s also champagne and wine on offer as prizes for the highest place teams

Teams already attending the January Develop quiz include Bossa, Blitz, The Creative Assembly, Side, Firefly Worlds, Datascope, First Touch, Big Head, Wave and Testronic Labs.

It costs just £249 to enter a team of five. This covers participation in the quiz, free bar and food for all five members of the team.

And if you need one last reason to attend, consider this; last year The Creative Assembly scored the most points of any Develop Quiz team ever. Perhaps January 30th will be your chance to take that record.
