Flat Earth Games to build iOS games with core '90s design concepts

’16-Bit’ indie studio opens in Sydney

A new Sydney-based studio has pledged to bring back the design philosophies video game design from the 1990s.

Rohan and Leigh Harris, the co-founders of Flat Earth Games, say they are targeting PC and iOS platforms for their first project.

“We grew up on games like Civilization, Transport Tycoon and Lightspeed,” Rohan said.

“These things have always held a special place in our hearts and we’ve been hard at work on resurrecting the core concepts which drive them to share the things we love with a new generation.”
