Plan approved to close down American studio following Konami buyout

’40 staff to be emptied’ from Hudson US

Hudson is enacting previous plans to terminate its US studio, according to reports.

The Bomberman developer is said has begun a voluntary redundancy program, with as many as forty staff expected to apply.

But a report from news site Andriasang does not detail if there are enough voluntary redundancy placements for all staff.

The fate of Hudson’s San Mateo office was sealed in a shareholder meeting, Andriasang claims, where it was agreed that Hudson will now be Konami property.

Hudson’s Japanese arm will is expected to now develop social games for Konami.
