We all look back on the first mobile devices with fond amusement. They really were bricks, weren’t they?
Then they became so small you could fit them in the palm of your hand. A growth spurt followed, and particularly since the advent of tablets and phablets, there has been no ‘average size’ for mobile devices. Sizes now vary greatly, but they all share an essential requirement: to be able to host content for bigger external screens.
The ‘beam’ capabilities of some devices have been really useful for users who find themselves streaming presentations from their Android smartphones. WiDi technology is behind all this, and you can find an introduction to WiDi here.
