Analytics firm adds new cross-country rank history tool

App Annie now tracks Windows Phone Store

Analytics firm App Annie has updated its mobile game data tracking platform to include support for the Windows Phone Store and a new tool that charts an app’s performance over several global markets at once.

The new Windows Phone Store database is in beta at the moment and is limited to sales from the top 500 Windows Phone Store apps since December 24th of last year, but the company plans to add data from earlier months in the near future.

With the new cross-country rank history feature, users can track an app’s store rank history in as many as ten different countries simultaneously on the same graph.

Since globalization is as important a topic in mobile games as it is in any of the other world industries, this new feature should be a big hit with companies looking to break in to Asia, or Asian companies thinking about hitting Western markets.

Those interested in trying out the new features can head over to the webpage announcing the upgrade.
