Pillars of Eternity completes 2016 nominees for outstanding writing in a video game

Assassin’s Creed, Tomb Raider and The Witcher in running for Writers Guild Award

The Writers Guild of America is set to recognise four of last year’s best-written games.

Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Pillars of Eternity, Rise of the Tomb Raider and The Witcher III: Wild Hunt have been nominated for the WGA’s Videogame Writing Award.

The 2016 WGA ceremonies will take place on February 13th in New York and Los Angeles concurrently.

To be eligible for nomination, the title must have been released between December 1st 2014 and November 30th 2015 and include on-screen writing credits for WGA members.

Ubisoft is particularly supportive of the awards, encouraging its writers to apply for the WGA each year – Assassin’s Creed is a common sight among the nominees.
