The 10th annual Game Developers Choice Awards last night celebrated the critical accomplishments of Californian studio Naughty Dog.
The prodigious talent at Naughty Dog has already been awarded with a string of awards in recent months – including ten AIAS prizes – but last night the outfit was jubilant again in picking up five Game Developers Choice Awards.
Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 2 won Game of the Year, Best Writing, Best Technology, Best Visual Arts and Best audio.
Elsewhere, Warner Bros-owned Londoners Rocksteady picked up best game design for Batman: Arkham Asylum – a 2009 game that has also won numerous awards.
Meanwhile, 5th Cell continued to weigh down the trophy cabinet with two awards – best handheld game and, unsurprisingly, an award for innovation.
Zynga took the award for best new social online game, while Runic Games won best debut game for Torchlight.
