Chilli team adds economy management following beta phase

ChilliConnect 1.0 now available

ChilliConnect 1.0, the back-end and analytics service from Chilli Technologies, has now been released.

The tool is designed to help devs run online and multiplayer games for a range of platforms. The recent beta phase saw Chilli Technologies adding a number of new features, including cloud scripting, cloud data storage, DLC support and push notifications.

Since the beta, the team has also introduced economy management, which enables devs to set up in-game economies with support for virtual currencies, player inventory, in-app purchasing and more.

The tool is free to developers while they are building and testing their game, with Chilli Technologies then charging studios once the game is live. Pricing is based on monthly active users, so devs will only be charged for what they use.

ChilliConnect also offers developers the option to pay for the service through a revenue-sharing model, and launch discounts will be available for the next few months. You can find out more at ChilliConnect’s website.

"We’ve expanded the ChilliConnect feature set significantly since our Beta launch and we’re delighted to now offer ChillConnect for use in live games,” said head of product development Mike Herron.

“This release marks the first step towards our vision of providing developers with everything they need to build, monetise and operate a live game in a single service."

Chilli Technologies is an off-shoot of Scottish development studio Tag Games.
