Cliff Bleszinski ‘out of retirement’

Gears of War creator Cliff Bleszinski is officially coming "out of retirement" and returning to game development.

The former Epic game designer has been teasing his next project for some time, with suggestions the new title could be an arena shooter.

Details on his new venture will be revealed within the next seven days.

Bleszinski, best known for his work on titles such as Gears of War, Unreal Tournament and Jazz Jackrabbit, left Epic Games in October 2012 after 20 years at the studio.

At the time he said he left the developer to take a “much needed break”.
