Creative Assembly looks to ‘inspire, inform and share’ with students and newcomers at Brighton event on 9th of July

Creative Assembly will be hosting a small event on the first day of the Develop conference in Brighton. The free-to-attend event runs from 3pm to 5.30pm on the 9th of July. Organised in co-operation with The 9% Event and Women in Games, there will be speakers, portfolio reviews and ‘smart networking’.

That means group networking based on attendees objective for the event, which kicks off at 3pm. With an hour of talks then starting at 4pm.

Speakers on the day include Professor Kelly Snook – a former NASA research scientist, who currently serves as professor of Media Arts Technology at the University of Brighton and holds a PhD in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University. Keza MacDonald, video games editor at The Guardian, and previously editor of Kotaku UK will also speak. Plus attendees will hear from Victoria Prentice, Senior Dialogue Engineer at Creative Assembly itself.

The event will then continue with more networking, a chance to talk to the speakers and additional portfolio reviews from Creative Assembly’s team.

The reviews will consist of one-to-one career advice, reviewing your portfolio, improving your CV, and understanding career options. With a developer relevant to your field of expertise.

Whether you’re attending Develop:Brighton on not, and you really should! This event looks to provide an inspiring opportunity for those fairly new or hoping to get into the industry, plus a friendly networking opportunity for those with their foot in the door already.

You can register for tickets for the event here.
