David Cage has arranged an appearance at GDC to demonstrate the technology that underpins his next game projects.
The Quantic Dream co-CEO is scheduled to make a 60 minute lecture at the Game Developers Conference in March, discussing on stage how technology can capture emotion.
Cage will examine virtual actors, performance capture and art direction as well as present a tech demo to the public for the first time.
At E3 2006, Cage unveiled The Casting – a tech demo that offered a snapshot into its Heavy Rain project in production at the time.
Cage’s appearance at GDC will explore “how real time technologies can be used to create emotion”, with the outspoken game director explaining why he believes storytellers should be in control of projects.
GDC 2012 runs from March 5th to 9th. Representatives from studios such as Naughty Dog, Blizzard, Electronic Arts, Mojang and Halfbrick will each take stage in San Francisco to discuss a broad range of subjects.
