This year, we’ve added the new Creative Outsourcer category to the Develop Awards 2015.
The prize expands on previous awards for Creative Contribution. It is intended for studios and services firm that have created content for any game that has been released in the past year, whether that’s voice work, art assets, in-game content such as multiplayer maps or even a full game port.
Previously, these awards focused on services firms and external contractors, but the new Creative Outsourcer award is also open to work-for-hire studios that have helped bring other developers’ games to life. Be sure to clarify which project you’re nominating for.
Similar to this category is the revamped Technical Services award. Formerly known as Services, this is open to any companies that provide ongoing support to multiple developers and projects. This can encompass analytics, performance capture, optimisation and full game development.
To nominate for either of these awards – or indeed any categories for the 2015 Develop Awards – here’s what you need to do:
- Write a short pitch of 350 words – remember to mention which awardyou’re nominating for.
- Provide five bullet points highlighting any relevant features or accomplishments.
- Add a list of links to any videos, images, music, websites and so on that support your nomination.
- Email your nominations to email@example.com before 5pm UK time on Tuesday, April 21st. That’s tomorrow!
Once submissions are sent in, they will be vetted by the Develop Team and the finalists will be announced in a few months.
There are 20 awards this year, including the brand new Outsourcer award, dedicated to creative contractors and work-for-hire studios. Check out our full entry guide to find out how many you are elligible for.
