Donya Labs has launched its new 3D optimisation tool Simplygon Cloud on Unity.
The tech, which has now left its beta phase, is designed to help 3D creators build multiple level of detail models in the cloud, which Donya Labs said saves time, resources and polygons.
The tool automatically generates lower polygon models to help developers with the optimisation process, with the aim of making games and visuals run more smoothly.
There is currently a two-month free trial for developers looking to use the tool. After this period, assets will be proceed based on the complexity of the models submitted.
“Simplygon can now be used by anyone creating 3D content, which means tens of thousands of new projects can benefit from our leading software optimisation technology,” said Donya Labs VP of sales and marketing Martin Ekdal.
“We’ve done an extensive beta with Unity 3D users and the results are promising with content creators citing the high quality, with very little input needed to optimise their assets.”
